Growing in Unity Day 5 - Card

11/15/2019

Today is day 5 of Growing in Unity and I have a card for you today.  I used a stamp from September 2019 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Company, amalgam ink, and dual brush pens.
Picture
I first cut out a piece of card stock and stamped the images using my MISTI and the amalgam ink.  I then used the dual brush pens to color in the image and adhered this to some black card stock.  I distressed the edges of the black card stock using a scissors to add some character.
I decided to add some black paint splatters to the images and then adhered them to the card base.  I popped up the word to give some dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this card and don't forget to leave a comment below!  Thank you for following me this week!

Today is day 4 of growing in Unity!  Today I have a candle project for you.  I used a glass yogurt cup, Distress Paint- Broken China, the stamp set Blossoming Beauty from Unity Stamp Company, and amalgam ink.
Picture
I took the Distress paint dauber and applied the paint to the glass in a messy fashion.  I wanted it to show some light through.  I let this dry overnight.
Picture
Once the paint was dry, I stamped the flower image and word image using the amalgam ink onto the jar.  I placed the stamp on an acrylic block and then rolled the jar over the top.  I then placed a battery operated candle inside.

Today is day 3 of growing in unity!  I have a mixed media journal for you today using the stamp kit Hello it's me, some gesso, acrylic paint, and washi tape.  I grabbed some scrap pieces of cardboard and cut them up into book pages.  I used some contractor tape to adhere the pages together.

Today I just worked on the cover of the journal and placed fabric tape over the edge to, some washi tape on the outer edges, and applied gesso to the middle of the book and let that dry overnight.
Picture
I then applied acrylic paint to the cover in different colors and then stamped the stamps with black acrylic paint.  I decided to add a flower to the side by assembling a couple different ones.  I then attached the flower with a brad to the front page by punching a hole through the cover.  I hope you enjoyed this project!

Today is day 2 of Growing in Unity and I have a fun shaker card for you!  I used the Kit of the Month from September 2019, amalgam ink, clear toner sheets, and some watercolor.
Picture
I first stamped the image on watercolor paper using my misti and then used my watercolors to color it in.
Picture
I then cut out a square piece using a die-cut to make a window in some card stock. I cut a piece of toner sheet to fit over the open square and glued it on to the card stock window.  Then I adhered some fun foam around the edge sealing it so the sequins would not come out when I assemble the card.  I then assembled the card by placing sequins in the window and attaching the pieces together.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  Don't forget to comment on the blog!
