I've always enjoyed mixing paint colors and find it really relaxing and meditative. The joy and fun of mixing different colors to see what happens has always intrigued me. I remember having to make color wheels for art class in middle school and high school and was always so excited to see the colors and how they turned out. Doing a color wheel and a grid sheet with your different types of paints gives you a wonderful chart to look at and ingredient list to go by. Here is a chart I recently made for a class I am taking along with my ice cream lid palette because I like to be frugal and use what I have.
I plan on taking my other paints and creating a grid for each type of paint that I have and working on a nice grid that I can hang up or put in a binder for easy access so I know what colors to mix to create a specific color. This can be done with your crafting supplies too. For example, if you have ink pads, you could have a chart with the brand name, the color, and then stamp out the image to see the true color of the ink. Another chart idea is glitter glue, your markers, and even your colored pencils.
Post below if you have charts for your crafty items and tell us how you chart your items!
Have a great day!
Crafting has always been a passion of mine since a child. I love photography, painting, drawing, stamping, mixed media, and browsing other sites for ideas. My passion is also in horticulture so I love to grow my own fruits and vegetables and houseplants.
