Today I have a mixed media project that I want to share with you. I had so much fun creating this and look forward to many more! Here is a photo of the completed project. Now I just need to figure out where I want to put it. Maybe in a journal of some sort. Read below to see how I page this page. I used the new Hearts stencil that is located on our Products page under Stencils. Please go and check it out! I first took a piece of water color paper from a large pad and cut it down into smaller pieces. I then used my Tombow pens to apply color randomly all over the page. I then took my water brush, you can use just a regular paint brush also, and started to blend the lightest colors first and then the darkest creating some blending together to the colors didn't become muddy. I let this dry completely before applying the gesso. If you don't like this type of texture and line, you can use watercolor paint on a wet paper surface to create a smoother look. Once the paper was dry, I took the stencil from the shop called Hearts and placed it randomly on the paper. I used a foam brush to apply the gesso. Once that is complete, clean the stencil promptly with water and let the gesso dry on the paper before moving to the next step. Once the gesso is dry, I took a permanent pen marker and randomly drew heart shapes around the gesso hearts. I then took the stamp called Incredible Way from Unity Stamp Company and randomly stamped on the page. I then took the sentiment from the same kit and stamped it. That's it! Now you have a fun mixed-media page that you can put in a journal or on a card!
I hope you have a wonderful day creating! Naomi
